IMPORTANT INFORMATION – COVID-19. Be prepared, not panicked!

Posted on: 17 March

We would like to update Members with the further measures that we are taking to ensure your personal safety and that of our team. We would like to assure you that we are thoughtfully acting in a planned, calm and measured manner as we step up our processes over the coming days.

  • We encourage Members to refrain where possible from using cash. We have excellent credit card and house account options available in all outlets. Ask our team for assistance.
  • Cash handlers will have access to antiseptic at the register to clean their hands between uses.
  • Cash counters will be using disposable gloves.
  • Front of House and Golf staff will be increasing the frequency of cleaning of surfaces such as table tops, chair arms, door handles, counter tops, door handles, computer keyboards, communal monitors and items like the range keypad.
  • You will notice that we are trying to reduce the contact with surfaces like doors and are keeping them open.
  • Cutlery will be served with your meal rather than left on tables, thus preventing the incidence of multiple people touching napkins and cutlery.
  • Leave the flag in! Reduce unnecessary contact.
  • Daily staff temperature checks.
  • Distribution of 1 x rake per group. This process will occur over the next couple of days. See our team to collect before tee off and return to the Starters Hut. No property to be taken off site. Rakes will be cleaned before use.
  • Steering wheels and seats sanitised after use.
  • We are currently considering options for pre-prepared takeaway meals and takeaway beer/wine… Stay tuned.

These measures have been introduced in addition to the advice from the Australian Government:

  • Wash hands regularly for 20 sec minimum. Alternately, use the sanitiser stations provided around the clubhouse.
  • Refrain touching your face – this is an efficient way for germ transition.
  • Sneeze/cough into your elbow. If you use a tissue, please thoughtfully dispose of it.
  • Increase personal distance.
  • If you feel unwell at the Club, please inform our staff. You will be asked to leave in the interest and safety of others. Please call your medical practitioner for advice.
  • Do not play if you are not well. Think of others!
  • All members/guests/staff must abide by the government self isolation guidelines and not come to the club for 14 days from arrival/return to the country. This applies to all international travel, inclusive of cruise ships.

Our team are positively managing this changing situation, we are open, golf is a great option in the fresh air – let’s just prepare, don’t panic! And wash your hands!!!

If you have any concerns or queries, you are welcome to contact me directly.

Sincerely,

Tracey-Lea Tiley
