Gathering? What is a gathering?
Posted on: 15 April
Dear Members
We have managed extremely well for almost 4 weeks with this unusual situation that has befallen us. Thank you for your support.
However, we are starting to see a relaxation of the ‘gathering interpretation’ and some other procedures that have been implemented to protect the interests of members and the ability to continue the game we all love.
- a gathering consists of NO more than 2 persons from different households. (So, sitting behind the 17th in a group of three having a beer will have us shut down). We are receiving calls from residents threatening such. Do the right thing! Police are fining people $1500 for this and you will be suspended, no further warnings.
- be spatially aware, because haven’t we all heard enough of social distancing?! Please keep no less than 1.5m distance from others,
- arrive no earlier than 10 mins prior to your tee time,
- keep distance from the group ahead if you catch up to them. 10 metres is recommended,
- strictly ‘no alcohol’ on the premises. We are a licensed venue and by bringing your own alcohol, we are in breach of the current restrictions. Suspension of license and heavy fines may apply.
You can all play your part in ensuring that we can keep the good times going, if you see behaviour that is likely to impact our operating continuation, please contact us. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
Many thanks and keep up the vigilance to the guidelines – it is working…
Best,
