COVID-19 LATEST: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, Townsville and Palm Island will ease restrictions to Stage 3 in line with the rest of Queensland from 4pm today (8 October). New restrictions include:
- Cafés and restaurants will return to 1 person per 2m² indoors and outdoors, and stadiums and events can have full capacity.
- Up to 100 people can gather in homes, with no limit for people gathering in public spaces.
- Visitors are permitted at aged care, correctional centres, hospitals and disability service centres.
- Up to 200 people can attend funerals and weddings, and all wedding guests can dance.
Masks:
- Masks must continue to be worn indoors unless seated and on public transport. However, masks only need to be worn for entry and exit at hospitality venues.
- Masks must be worn when at stadiums, at an airport, and on a domestic or international flight departing or arriving in Queensland.
- You should carry a mask and wear it when physical distancing is not possible.
