2022 Mixed Foursomes Championship entries are now open. Entry forms and fees must be received by 5pm on Sunday, 6th November 2022 (First in best dressed). Please fill out the entry form below or collect an entry form from the Golf Shop. Good luck and play well!

2022 Mixed Foursomes Championship ENTRIES

 Conditions of Play

  • This honour board event is open to 7 Day, Next Gen and Junior Members who currently hold a valid GA handicap.
  • Bookings are limited (Max 21 teams)- Entries will close if sold out early. Bookings are ’first in best dressed’. Payment must be received on entry to reserve your spot in the event.
  • The Mixed Foursomes Championship is a 27hole Stroke event to be played under the Rules of the R & A also including Links Hope Island local rules.
  • The competition committee will comprise of the Club Manager, Golf Executive and Golf Services Supervisor.
  • The rules of Foursomes require the partners to use one ball and hit off from alternate tees.  All male team members will play from the 1st tee (odd holes) for the first round of 18 holes and from the 10th tee (even holes) for the second 9 hole round.
  • Play will be from the 1st Tee starting at 9.30am playing in three teams of two. The back 9 will be played twice to complete the 27 Holes. Thus the 19th hole will commence from the 10th 
  • If a player makes a stroke or strokes in the incorrect order, refer to Rule 22-3. Note that if either player incurs a penalty stroke, it does not alter the rotation of play. This includes the playing of a provisional ball. 
  • The team’s handicap is half of the aggregate of both partners’ daily handicaps.
  • All play is from the Blue tees for Men & Red Tees for Ladies.
  • The pair with the lowest Gross score over the 27 holes is the Championship Winner. In the event of a tie for the 27-hole gross Championship, there will be a sudden death play-off from and repeating the first hole. 
  • The team with the lowest Nett score over the 27 holes is the Nett winner. In the event of a tie in the Nett championship event, the winner will be decided by a countback on the last 9 hole Nett score.
  • The draw for 27 holes will be made and posted on the Website, in the Golf Shop and on the Members’ Notice Board on Tuesday 8th November 2022 at 5.00pm.
  • The competition committee will only consider team changes after the draw in exceptional circumstances.
