No Shows / Cancellations
Posted on: 24 August
Dear Members,
Due to the increasing pressure on tee times our Golf Shop Staff have been monitoring “NO SHOWS” very closely across the past couple of months. During this time, the failure to show up or cancel tee times has been addressed with a number of Members. The failure to cancel a tee time is not only considered a poor show of etiquette toward playing partners but potentially robs a fellow member of an opportunity to enjoy a game.
A player who No Show’s on the first occasion will receive a phone call from Management to confirm the circumstance and remind the member of their obligation, a second No Show within three months of the first will result in an email to confirm the dates, circumstance and potential ramification of a further No Show. A third No Show within three months of the first offence will, after consideration of the facts, result in a 14-day suspension of playing rights. During the suspension, Members will still be able to utilise the practice and clubhouse facilities.
N.B. Each Member is responsible for their name being on the timesheet whether they booked the tee time themselves or were booked by a fellow playing partner.
We truly hope not to have to enforce this disciplinary procedure and ask all Members to do the right thing and cancel tee times they are unable to make. For reference, the relevant section of the 2023 / 2024 Membership Handbook is included below.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
