16.3 Golf Cart Rules
Current –
(h) Only persons over seventeen (17) years of age and in the Manager’s opinion, that person is a suitable person to drive a golf cart, may operate a golf cart on the Golf Course at any time. The Manager may allow a younger person to drive the golf cart where-
(i) the person is at least sixteen (16) years of age;
(ii) the parent or legal guardian of the person has provided written consent for the person to drive the golf cart; and the parent or legal guardian of the person accepts all liability for any damage or injury incurred as a result of use of the golf cart;
Background behind the change:
There have been a number of golf cart accidents, a couple serious, in the past year involving junior golfers in privately owned golf carts who have not been 17 years old and/or licensed. From a governance perspective it is prudent to make it clear the golf cart rules apply to both club and privately owned golf carts.
Amended to –
(h) Only persons over seventeen (17) years of age and in the Manager’s opinion, that person is a suitable person to drive a golf cart, may operate a golf cart on the Golf Course at any time. This includes the use of privately owned golf carts.
The Manager may allow persons who are seventeen (17) years of age and hold the appropriate Driver’s Licence to operate golf carts owned by the Manager, or to use a privately owned golf cart on the Golf Course where –
(i) when requested, proof of the appropriate Driver’s Licence is provided to the Manager where a copy will be kept on file;
(ii) and upon request, the parent or legal guardian of the person has provided written consent for the person to drive the golf cart; and the parent or legal guardian of the person accepts all liability for any damage or injury incurred as a result of use of the golf cart;
17.1 Attire

(a) Collared shirts must be worn at all times on the golf course.
(b) Only golf shoes with rubber spikes are to be worn on the Golf Course whilst playing or practicing. Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited on the golf course and within the Clubhouse at all times.
(c) Thongs or bare feet are prohibited around all areas of the Golf Course and the Clubhouse except in designated change room areas.
The Manager may temporarily waive the dress standards of the Club for special activities or functions.

17.6 Pets
Current –
No domestic animals (other than guide or assistance dogs in the company of appropriately impaired persons) shall be permitted within the Facilities.
Background –
Many hospitality venues are becoming more and more pet friendly. We have been allowing members and guests to use the lower terrace or Fairway terrace early of a morning or during periods of low occupancy for coffee and/or breakfast during their morning walk with their dog. They are advised by staff should trade increase, their dog bark or annoy any other patrons they will have to leave. The recommended change simply makes it clear this practice is allowed at our discretion.
Amend to –
No domestic animals (other than guide or assistance dogs in the company of appropriately impaired persons) shall be permitted within the Facilities, unless otherwise permitted by the Manager.
