COVID Personal Safety. Yes, it’s still a thing!

Posted on: 20 June

As a Membership group you have responded well to all operational changes, thus enhancing your safety and our ability to keep the business operating. It has been refreshing to see how well everyone is continuing to adapt.

We would like to remind you of the current conditions which are incumbent on our operation and we seek your cooperation in maintaining the following;

– 1.5m distancing from others (observe the distance markers or you may be refused service if you are crowding the bar or shop)

– Bunker rakes will continue to be left out until such times it has been deemed safe. 1 card length preferred lie remains.

– No lifting pin flags out. A new device has been ordered courtesy of a member sponsoring, to lift the ball safely from the cup.

– 20 guests max in a public gathering and in individually defined areas. (No mixing within these zones). No moving from your table to another! We get you are excited!!

– The consumption of beverage is conditional on you being seated. So no wandering around. We know, that’s not fun but necessary to satisfy government requirements.

– Keep up good personal hygiene! Wash your hands regularly, sanitise on entry and exit of dining spaces.

– If you are not feeling well. Whilst we think you’re great, please don’t come to the club. Stay at home!

– Sign in to dine or sip. We now have a QR code that will take your details. These will be held for 56 days and then destroyed per government regulations. Open your camera and place over the Qr code. It will provide a pop up, click on it and then complete your details. It should recognize you after the first time, so you won’t need to physically type everything after that. You will still need to scan.

– MiScore App. Download from Google Play or Apple Store for contact free scoring. Note, this automatically uploads your partners score. Not yours.

Let’s not be complacent. We understand that all of this is cumbersome and can get in the way of a good time. Unfortunately, for the the time being, we need to respect these conditions. We are the lucky ones. There are clubs on the Gold Coast (RPR & S Cove) who haven’t opened their Clubhouse yet. Whilst we are far more advanced in our operation, we must continue to do this safely. I have been advised that inspectors are making random visits and instant fines are being dealt. Each of us have a role in making sure the good times continue.

Thank you for your cooperation. We understand the desire to get back to normal, however we need to be prepared for a new normal. One without Victorians!!!

Best, Tracey-Lea.
