Covid Update – 29 July

Posted on: 29 July

Dear Members

Together, we have been rehearsing our roles over the last 5 months in preparation and now is the time to put all our great practice to work.

It is difficult not to be more fearful now that community transmission is on our doorstep. We each have personal responsibility in how our future is shaped and complacency does not belong.

Our team are continuing to review our practices, renewing our vigilance and maintaining our commitment to good hygiene and safe practices throughout all areas of our business. We cannot let the foot off the gas.

Following staff directions and guidance is essential. Please see below:

– Practice increased personal hygiene, we are too! Wash your hands regularly, sanitiser, use it all!
– Complete the guest registration when entering Ambrosia. QR and written recording is available. This is required every time for your own safety. Contact tracing is crucial. Do not provide creative details!
– Keep up the spatial distancing. Follow the markers on the floor in the shop and bar. Be patient and no crowding.
– Do not crowd entries and exits. In the side door of the Golf Shop, out the Fountain Court door.
– Do not touch the flagsticks. There are devices installed to lift your ball onto the green. Use these, as penalties may apply in competition. Be gentle!
– Preferred lies in bunkers to a card length. No smoothing over before your shot.
– All food & beverage in the clubhouse is to be consumed seated. Order at the bar and return to your seat. Drinks Cart service is permitted.
– Contactless payments. Cash is not accepted and not held on premises.
– Be mindful of operating hours and car park closing times.
– If you feel unwell, or are experiencing Covid symptoms, please do not come to the Clubhouse. Seek medical advice and stay at home. Our core community is highly susceptible. Don’t be selfish and put others at risk.

Observing the rapid spread of recent days and devastating consequences should motivate us all to play our part.

We don’t wish to alarm or over dramatise the situation, but let’s not lose focus of the simple changes to our everyday to contribute to the safety of our community. They are simple and will ensure we, as a club can continue to operate safely for the benefit of our members, guests and staff.

We are on this journey together,

Tracey-Lea Tiley
General Manager
