MIXED 4BBB MATCHPLAY

Registration is now open for the 2021 Mixed 4BBB Matchplay – entry forms are located in the Golf Shop. 

Mixed 4BBB Handicap Matchplay 2021

 Round 1 on or before: Sunday 25th April 2021

Round 2 on or before: Sunday 2nd May 2021

Quarter final on or before: Sunday 16th May 2021

Semi Final on or before: Sunday 23rd May 2021

Final: Sunday 30th May 2021

*Round 1 above is based on receiving more than 16 team entries.  In the case of less than 16 teams at the closing date the first round becomes playable on or before Sunday 2nd  May 2021    

 Conditions of Entry:

  1. The event is open to 7-day, Next Gen & Junior members who hold a current Golf Australia handicap, and are financial. All entrants must be able to show 3 rounds of Golflink handicap history and have been a member at Links Hope Island for a minimum of 1 month prior to the event.
  2. For the enjoyment of all, it is appreciated that participants must be available to play each round of the tournament.
  3. Entry Forms with an entry fee of $12 per player must be submitted to the Golf Shop prior to the closing date below.
  4. All matches must be played on or before the dates advertised above excluding the final which must be played on Sunday 30th May 2021.
  5. If the players cannot agree on a suitable date prior to the date stipulated, then the match must be played on the date stipulated. Should one party not be able to play on the stipulated date that party will forfeit the match. If neither can play on the date stipulated, a coin toss will decide which team advances to the next round.
  6. Play will be from the Blue Tees for the Men and the Red Tees for the Ladies. All matches are to start from the 1st
  7. Each player will use their daily handicap on the day the match is being played.
  8. The number of strokes given is the full handicap difference between the handicaps of the players. Where the full handicap difference exceeds 18, players will receive 2 shots per hole where applicable.  When additional holes are required to determine the winner, strokes are awarded as in the original round.  Strokes are given off the match index located on the bottom left-hand side of the scorecard. In the event of a squared match at the end of 18 holes, extra holes will commence from the 1st tee under direction from the Golf Shop, and the match will be played as a sudden death playoff until there is a result.
  9. Each match will be played in accordance with The Royal and Ancient Rules of Golf, together with such local rules of the course on the day of each match.
  10. The Golf Department may, in the event of bad weather, or for any reason, either shorten the tournament, amend dates dictated by number of entries or reschedule the event.
  11. Results must be advised to Golf Shop upon completion of each match for updating of draw.
