Dear Members,<\/p>\n

As you may have heard Links Golf & Wellbeing is moving from physical scorecards\u00a0to the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score<\/span>\u00a0Mobile App.<\/p>\n

Links Golf & Wellbeing has purchased a club subscription for the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App, from Wednesday 20th December 2023 all members are able to download the Mi<\/span>Score App free of charge and start to get familiar with all the features and use for all competitions. We would encourage all members to embrace this and download the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App as soon as possible to start getting familiar with its features and scoring.<\/p>\n

The full transition will occur Monday, 15th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2024.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We would like all members to familiarise themselves with the App ASAP, because from Monday 15th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2024 we will no longer be using paper\u00a0score<\/span>cards, scanning etc. \u00a0Once we have 70% of the membership base using the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App we will also be able to effectively utilise the \u201cPACE OF PLAY\u201d functionality in the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App.<\/p>\n

In addition to scoring and Pace of Play functionality, we have enabled the NTP function on the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App. We will have measuring tape on the flagsticks on the holes we use for NTP\u2019s and APP Shots. To accurately measure how far your ball is from the hole place the end of the flagstick flush with the side of the cup closest to your ball (not in the\u00a0mi<\/span>ddle of the cup) and measure the distance from the hole to your golf ball. \u00a0As soon as flagsticks are installed on course, we will let you know so that you can trial in readiness for 15th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2024.<\/p>\n

All members will still be required to check in at the golf shop every time they play whether it be a social or competition round.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Everything you need to know along with FAQ\u2019s is listed below:<\/em><\/p>\n

Mi<\/span>Score is an approved scoring method aligned with the 2019 rules of golf. To use the\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App for competition scoring, you need a valid membership with an Australian Golf Club using\u00a0Mi<\/span>Club golf management software. Download\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score from the App Store or Google Play Store. Add Links Hope Island in the home club section, login using your membership name as password as you would when logging in on your home computer \/ tablet or mobile phone. To begin using the App in a competition, simply select a playing partner in your group to mark for and then continue\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0entry.\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0by applying a gross\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0value for each hole before swiping to the next. When all\u00a0score<\/span>s are entered, validate the player results with digital a signature and submit for verification. It is your responsibility to ensure not just your\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0is correct, but your playing partners\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0is also correct. The easiest way to do this is throughout the round, pay attention to not just your own ball, but your playing partners ball also. At the end of each hole, have the conversation with your marker about what they had. Do not leave the conversation to the end of the round.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Is\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score compatible with all smartphones?<\/b><\/p>\n

Most of them.\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score has been successfully used on a very wide range of smartphones.\u00a0Mi<\/span>Club is always available to assist when required to test any new devices.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Is digital scoring approved by the R&A?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes,\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App is an approved method of scoring under the rules of golf\u00a03.3b(2)\/1.<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Will players still have the option to use a\u00a0score<\/span>card?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, players will still have the option to use a physical card to record their\u00a0score<\/span>. At the end of your round, you will be required to manually enter your\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0for each hole into the computer in the pro shop to submit your\u00a0score<\/span>.\u00a0Score<\/span>cards without submission online will not be accepted toward competition results.<\/p>\n

If anyone has issues with\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score, who provides the support?<\/b><\/p>\n

Mi<\/span>Club. All\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score users have access to\u00a0Mi<\/span>Club\u2019s reliable support service through the in-app feedback form or\u00a0support@mi<\/span>club.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n

Course Etiquette<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Put your mobile in an easily accessible place on your buggy, bag or cart. \u00a0<\/li>\n
  2. Only use the device to\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0and view pin locations. Here are some tips to avoid distractions:\n
      \n
    1. Turn on silent mode<\/li>\n
    2. Turn on Do Not Disturb<\/li>\n
    3. Turn off notifications for emails<\/li>\n
    4. Switch on car driving mode to automatically divert calls<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    5. Use the App for the distance to pin instead of other devices<\/li>\n
    6. Check that your club is updating the pin locations when pins are moved<\/li>\n
    7. Update the\u00a0score<\/span>s at the end of each hole so the live scoring leader boards are constantly updated<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Quick Guide<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Download\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App on your mobile from the App Store or Google Play<\/li>\n
      2. Open\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App and register then search and add your golf club or course<\/li>\n
      3. Select Member Login and enter your username and password from your club web site.<\/li>\n
      4. Tap\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0Competition\u00a0to start scoring if you are registered in a competition.<\/li>\n
      5. Change your starting hole if different to\u00a0Mi<\/span>Score App and select playing partner to\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0tap\u00a0Continue to Scoring<\/li>\n
      6. Just like a\u00a0score<\/span>card please\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 enter gross\u00a0score<\/span>s for yourself and your partner on each hole, tap the hole\u00a0Par\u00a0to quickly add the par of the hole and\u00a0+\u00a0or\u00a0–\u00a0buttons.<\/li>\n
      7. Tap the distance in metres in top right to open an aerial view of the hole, tap on the screen to see how far to hit over bunkers, to front of green or how far to hit.<\/li>\n
      8. Swipe left to go to next hole or swipe right to go back to previous holes.<\/li>\n
      9. Once played last hole swipe to\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0Comparison and\/or\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0Submission to check\u00a0score<\/span>s match your playing partner.<\/li>\n
      10. Once\u00a0score<\/span>s confirmed correct add your signature and excahnge the device with your playing partner for their signature. Tap\u00a0Clear\u00a0or\u00a0Undo\u00a0to start again.\u00a0<\/li>\n
      11. Tap\u00a0Confirm\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0to submit your\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0to the leaderboard if Self\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0Submission or send your Partner\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0if Partner\u00a0Score<\/span>\u00a0Submission. The other\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0not sent to the leaderboard is sent to the club for cross-checking.<\/li>\n
      12. A\u00a0score<\/span>\u00a0is successfully submitted when a Green Tick with your round time appears.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
