T\u2019was late summer when things started to change
\nNo more shaking hands and keep your distance on the range
\nAn unwelcome visitor had arrived and hadn\u2019t paid his fees
\nWe were just beginning to understand about this unsociable disease<\/p>\n
Until then our biggest problem was the greens and their lack of speed
\nNow we are just happy to have a hit in our hour of need
\nWe have such an amazing community, we take the good with the bad
\nNow it\u2019s time to reflect on the little things we\u2019ve always had<\/p>\n
Start at the pro shop, check in with a warm welcome from the staff
\nBump into other members and be sure to have a laugh
\nOff to the range and talk about the footy score
\nMock a few swings and then maybe a few more<\/p>\n
Throw the balls up to find your new best friend
\nThe other group now your mortal enemy, until the very end
\nPersonal glory cast aside for the greater good of the team
\nIt\u2019s all about the first shout, you know what I mean<\/p>\n
At the end of hostilities, it\u2019s hats off and hands shaken
\nWe are all mates after all, don\u2019t be mistaken
\nAdjourn to the bar to honour the bragging rights
\nLet the sledging continue and see who bights<\/p>\n
They say the best view comes after the hardest climb
\nWe will all be back together, we just need to bide our time
\nSoon we will be shaking hands, hugging and drinking like Kings
\nAnd realising how lucky we are to have these little things<\/p>\n
