Another week has passed and you have all been successfully handling spatial requirements and the frustrating limitations on socialising the way we would have once. We too miss the sound of laughter, cheers and jeers amongst friends. <\/p>\n
As we have mastered the new way we play, we urge you to be patient with; making bookings (demand is greater than it ever has been for desired times) and round times. <\/p>\n
There is a real balance between servicing the voracious demand to play and being able to satisfy the wish to fly around the course in two and a half hours. <\/p>\n
Yes, you will need to wait. But. You are in the sunshine playing golf! Relax and enjoy it, golf has been a lifeline for so many in this time of uncertainty. In most<\/span> cases, complaining won’t make it faster. The course is simply at capacity. We get that there is congestion in all of the usual places. There will be. <\/p>\n We have made the decision to service as many of you as possible and have the shortest interval between tee times in industry. Most advice is minimum 6mins, most are playing 7-8mins. <\/p>\n So here is the balance. <\/p>\n Yesterday we had 142 comp rounds, a total of 210 players plus 10 no shows. We would have had 220 players in pairs. Not bad. If we were to increase intervals to 7 mins, you would lose a third of tee times. Ie. More than 45 comp players and more than 70 players over all. <\/p>\n So ask yourself, what should it be? More of you playing or lightning quick rounds? Yes, we thought so too. <\/p>\n Thanks to those who have been understanding and I hope that this message may give perspective to those who didn’t understand why you were waiting.
