From the Course...

I’m very happy to report that this year’s renovations were very successful with no major breakdowns, no complications, great weather and a high morale from the team.

A picture says a thousand words so here's a look at this year's operation.

Greens were scarified at -4mm twice over in two different directions.

2 trailers per green of thatch was removed before being mowed off at 3.5mm.

13mm hollow tines removed cores up to 100mm deep before being picked up with the core harvester. 

Two very heavy topdressings of a sand and gypsum blend were applied across the course before being thoroughly rubbed in.

The scarifying of the green surrounds and tee decks was then completed, with the scarifying blades on the fairway unit set to -10mm. Fairways were also scarified at -10mm using the Marido unit.

Finally, all scarifying's were collected using two Rakervacs, ensuring a clean finish across all treated areas.

A big thankyou to the entire maintenance team for their efforts over the renovation week. It was a terrific team effort over the 5 days working up to 14hr days to complete the work. The course will recover quickly and sets up for success over the next 12 months.

When the golf course reopens for play post renovations on Friday 21st November we will have some Temporary Local Rules in play. 

These Temporary Local Rules will remain in play from Friday 21^st November up to and including Wednesday 24^th December 2025.
